Bronchoscopy is a procedure that lets doctors look at your lungs and air passages. During bronchoscopy, a thin tube (bronchoscope) is passed through your nose or mouth, down your throat and into your lungs.

The bronchoscope is made of a flexible fiber-optic material and has a light source and a camera on the end.

This is usually done as an outpatient or day case.
